The decision a pregnant women is about to make "is" a life-or-death decision for her baby. It is only right, that she knows there are alternatives available, and that to make a decision to abort this baby, does not end with the taking of a life but will stay with this women physically and emotionally for the rest of her life. The "lie" is when the doctor says it will be over with and she can go on with her life as if it never happened!
