I oppose HB 1313 because repealing buffer zones around reproductive health care facilities violates fundamental constitutional protections. These zones are a reasonable, content-neutral way to protect patients’ right to privacy, access to medical care, and personal safety. Regardless of personal or religious beliefs, the Constitution guarantees all individuals these rights, which cannot be overridden by the opinions or objections of others. Removing these protections would allow harassment and obstruction of people seeking lawful medical care.
