Please support this bill to protect parents who chose to ground their children in the reality of biological sex. No amount of hormones, drugs or surgeries can change that, however currently we are teaching children that they can have a so called "gender identity" that is uniquely different from their biological self. These ideas are based on extremely regressive and sexist stereotypes, and have the consequence of confusing children and leading to body dissociation and potential medical harm. "Social transition" is a form of gaslighting reality, and should not be undertaken by teachers and administrations, and more importantly these ideas should not triangulate children away from their parents who want their children navigating the world in reality and not some quack theory under the guise of "inclusivity." Organizations like Democrats for an Informed Approach to Gender, Our Duty, and the LGB Courage Coalition are working to protect children and adults from medical harm.
