I oppose HB 1313 because it strips away essential protections for women seeking reproductive healthcare. Every person has the right to make private medical decisions without harassment, intimidation, or government interference. Bodily autonomy is a fundamental American value, and this bill undermines it. Women’s bodies are their own. We do not subject men to this level of scrutiny or obstruction when it comes to their reproductive choices, and we should not tolerate laws that single out women for unequal treatment. All men and women are created equal, and our laws should reflect that equality—not erode it. Removing protections for patients entering reproductive clinics does nothing to promote safety, freedom, or fairness. It simply creates more barriers, more fear, and more opportunities for harassment. No one should have to run a gauntlet just to access legal medical care. HB 1313 is a step backward for personal freedom, privacy, and equal rights. I urge you to reject
