Dear Chair and Members of the Committee, My name is Erin Beal and I’m a New Hampshire parent in support of HB 1376. Simply put: I don’t co-parent with the government. Parents—not agencies, courts, or politics—are responsible for raising children. HB 1376 protects families by ensuring that acknowledging a child’s biological sex and making common-sense parenting decisions cannot be twisted into claims of abuse, neglect, or unfitness. This bill keeps government out of the living room and back where it belongs. It gives parents clarity, protection, and the freedom to raise healthy, grounded kids without fear of punishment for doing what’s right.
