I oppose HB1675 because it is a dangerous abuse of power that targets a nonprofit dedicated to protecting survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Granting the legislature investigative authority over nonprofits undermines survivor services, silences advocates, and weakens the infrastructure that keeps victims safe across New Hampshire. Our lawmakers should be focused on strengthening protections for victims—not advancing politically motivated actions that intimidate and harm those who serve them.
