I oppose lowering the standard for where physical restraint can be used in schools and treatment facilities. We have proven methods of de-escalation that work far better than attempting to restrain agitated individuals, which often causes the situation to become MORE dangerous to those involved. We should not be expanding the use of these dangerous practices that lead to lasting harm and even loss of life.
