I strongly support this bill that would impose a five-year moratorium on land application of sludge and biosolids for agricultural use. It defines immunity for farmers from lawsuits related to PFAS contamination resulting from these practices. Very importantly, it would create a fund to test for PFAS, provide water filtration systems, and help farmers adapt to management changes due to PFAS presence.
