I worked to ban the spreading of sludge in my town about 10 years ago. The ban passed but was never enforced. That was before I knew about PFAS in the sludge and pervasive impact from PFAS. We need to work to reduce the amount of PFAs and related chemicals that we are all exposed to. My old concerns about depletion of soil fertility, impact on abutters, concern about chemicals in the food grown, etc. are also concerns.
