The people vote for their town's governing body and their library officials separately for a reason. If the voters wish to see the library change, they can already vote for that, without handing authority over to the town itself. This only appears to be shady dealing to try to mislead people into voting against their best interests instead of engaging in the path already available to them should they desire the outcome this bill would lead to. There is no reason for this bill to exist, let alone pass.
