These bills are being put forth by uneducated people to push their religious beliefs based off uneducated interpretation of the Bible. There is already a restriction on when a woman can get an abortion in their pregnancy, so the fight over late term abortion is null and void. Now, we are adding more hurdles to further prevent medically necessary abortions by people who assume "abortion" is "murder" and not the medical terminology of removing or ending something. Case in point, republican Kat Cammack from Florida who had an ectopic pregnancy and needed an abortion after the 6 week ban she pushed through was enacted. Who decides what is medically necessary can be detrimental in the timely and possibly life saving treatment women need.
