I oppose HB 1769 because it conditions public funding on ideological compliance and interferes with the ability of medical professionals to serve patients honestly and directly. This bill increases bureaucracy, encourages taxpayer funded litigation, and substitutes political priorities for patient centered care. Expanding government control and enforcement in this way runs counter to the values of freedom, accountability, and restraint that our system is meant to uphold.
