I strongly oppose HB 1702. This bill singles out abortion medications for special and medically misleading warning requirements that are not grounded in accepted medical standards. Requiring pharmacies and clinics to post specific, ideologically driven notices about “reversing” mifepristone injects politics into health care, undermines patient trust, and risks confusing people about well-established medical guidance. Making intentional non-compliance a felony and opening the door to personal lawsuits shifts the burden onto providers’ shoulders and threatens access to care. Health decisions should be based on science and the doctor-patient relationship — not on fear-based legislation.
