Good afternoon. This is in opposition of HB 1702. HB 1702 should not pass because it mandates medically disputed and misleading information, interferes with the patient-provider relationship, and imposes extreme criminal penalties on healthcare professionals for compliance failures. The bill prioritizes ideology over evidence-based medicine, undermines informed consent, and represents government overreach into private medical decisions. It does nothing to improve patient safety or outcomes and instead risks confusing patients, deterring providers from practicing in New Hampshire, and exposing the state to costly and likely unsuccessful legal challenges. For these reasons, HB 1702 is harmful, unnecessary, and should be deemed Inexpedient to Legislate. Thank you for your attention in this important matter.
