It is time for the state to recognize its constitutional requirement to adequately fund public education. This bill seeks to undermine the basis for recent court decisions compelling the state to do this. 90% of children are educated in public schools and the current system for funding them is deeply damaging to communities and low to middle income property owners. Please recognize that the vast majority of voting Granite Staters support public schools and want the state to provide a fair and reasonable method of funding them adequately. This bill flies directly in the face of that strong consensus.
