As a member of the public and concerned citizen, I am concerned about this bill and the impact it may present to property owners who have large parcels of land in communities where current use exemption allows for preservation of family lands, and provides conservation value for wildlife habitat, open space, farmlands, scenic views and other natural resource protection. My assessment of this bill as it stands is that these values are not well considered and the impact of passing this would have repercussions for many communities, landowners, and the state of NewHampshire. A simple cost benefit analysis along with environmental impact assessment should considered prior to moving forward with this bill.
