I am a registered voter and resident of Derry for the past 30 years. I have seen and heard of far too many predatory animals, birds of prey and house pets poisoned through secondary poisoning. By allowing this to continue, we are losing the natural resources we already have to keep the rodent population down. When we lose these valuable critters, we create more opportunity for rodents to invade as their natural predators are declining in numbers, causing additional use of poisons. A vicious circle which ends in cruel, painful death for non-target critters. We need to be more civilized. NH should be a place where critters can thrive in a healthy environment and our pets are safe.
