This bill would repeal the mandate that currently requires statewide use of the multi-tiered system of supports for behavioral health and wellness [MTSS-B]. The MTSS-B framework prioritizes collaboration between schools, families, and community mental health agencies to coordinate mental health interventions that improve outcomes for all students. Without these collaborations, we revert to a system of fragmented, disjointed services less likely to meet the needs of our young people.
