While oversight may be a good thing, this bill would limit the work of the coalition to those already identified as experiencing sexual and/or domestic violence. Prevention is equally important and the key to prevention is to identify not only those in need but to find ways to prevent violence in the first place. This bill eliminates that part of the work, which means we are only playing catch-up, never getting ahead of the problem.
