Erma Krupic | Oppose HB1754

As a member of the public and a school counselor at a NH public school, I oppose this bill. MTSS-B is essential in New Hampshire Schools. Students need mental health support in school in order to access learning of any kind. Community mental health support is few and far between with long waiting lists, long drives, and many other barriers to access. Having these needs addressed in schools removes these barriers, and helps students remain in school while they receive support. They are then able to go back into the classroom ready to attend to their learning. Removing this support would be detrimental to students' education as well as student mental health and will have far reaching negative consequences.
