I oppose HB 1376 because it would strip critical protections from transgender and gender-diverse young people. While framed as a parental rights bill, it would allow one parent or guardian to block a child from being raised in a gender-affirming environment or accessing gender-affirming care even when medical evidence shows that affirming care is beneficial and often life-saving.
