An anti-trans bill by any other name is still an anti-trans bill. Calling it “parental rights” doesn’t change the outcome. HB 1376 creates an ideological carve-out in child-welfare law that shields harm from scrutiny, undermines the best-interests-of-the-child standard, and denies trans children equal protection.
