There is no safe way for any use of second generation anticoagulant rodenticides. They indiscriminately kill not only the target "pests" but other animals that might access them AND animals that eat animals that ate the bait. SGARs have been responsible for death of many endangered animals and of pets. They actually do the opposite of controlling pests, because of the rampant killing of animals that routinely prey on them. They are neither safe nor an effective option and should not be used by professionals or the public.
