The proposal of this bill baffles me. Why are these eight reps seeking to change a system that is working? The current system is designed to ensure independence, freedom of thought and word, and literacy. I do not understand what the end game is. Our library system works. The current system has integrity, independence and the trust of the public. It is not politicized, but clearly independent. And healthy. I am respectfully requesting that the House Municipal Committee not support this bill. PS. Ben Franklin would be appalled.
