NHCADSV is an organization that works with the utmost integrity to protect victims and survivors and prevent domestic and sexual violence. This attack on the organization is not being brought in good faith and will weaken systems of accountability and justice within the state. In addition, allowing the legislature investigative authority over nonprofit organizations is an egregious overreach. There are systems in place, including board of directors and state agencies, that already play a role in oversight. Allowing a bill like this to pass would open the door for more unnecessary and politically motivated attacks on nonprofit organizations within our state, thereby distracting from the important services that these organizations provide.
