Derry operates fine the way we are currently set up. If we want the town to be in charge of the schools, then the proper method is to do a charter change and put that to voters. Derry has voted to remain a town and if people want to change it, do it the right way with a charter change. This bill is an end round around a charter change - because that is harder. It is harder for a reason. I strongly oppose this bill.
