I am a landowner of a very popular hiking trail, that is in current use. This bill takes away landowners' rights, and takes away local rights to decide what's best for our own town. Administering and enforcing this bill would be complicated and burdensome to towns as well. Please do not vote to restrict current use! If you are worried about housing, let's look at the problems of AirBnB, big corporations buying up housing stock, and so many older folks who would like to downsize but can't find a suitable, affordable place. I live in a desirable area and we had THREE neighboring homes sitting vacant for 2-5 years out of the past eight years. We don't need to gobble up more farmland and forest to build houses.
