I am a therapist who works with adolescents in Dover, NH. I also received a graduate certificate in trauma informed care from UNH, which is where I learned about MTSS-B. This evidence-based practice is critical in schools. MTSS-B is an evidence-based system that helps schools prevent behavioral problems before they escalate and disrupt learning. Eliminating it removes structure, data-driven decision making, and early intervention—leaving schools more reactive and less effective. I oppose this bill because it undermines proven practices that support students, teachers, and safe learning environments.
