I am a physician and I strongly oppose this bill. This bill is unnecessary and obviously aimed to prevent women from having abortion care, which is their private health decision. Any provider referring a patient for an abortion or providing an abortion has already counseled the patient. There is no need to refer them to centers aimed at shaming them for their personal decision. Health care should remain accessible for patients, without government and religious intervention.
