it has become clear that we citizens cannot any longer trust the election system to reflect the will of the constituents. once elected, these representatives often lose their way on the purpose for which they have been elected. i have not elected them to fight numerous war that have not been approved by congress. i have not authorized them to essentially bankrupt the government and its taxpayers by extending the budgets outside its income, no more than any individual should do with their own budget. i have not assented to a budget where almost 50% of the budget is being used to fund the military. i have not elected them to use inside information to enrich themselves in the stock market. Query..why are these politicians willing to spend 25 to 30 million dollars to get elected to a position that pays approx 190,000.00 dollars? we are so far from the visions of the founders that their vision of democracy no longer exists. It is time to revert to that vision by placing term limits on our federal representatives and end the corruption. Respectfully, Stephen Brown
