I support this bill as someone who recently looked into fostering but was deterred by the vaccine mandate. I was contacted by a friend who knew from a friend that there was a baby in need of care, we were interested in helping but as it was a baby not only would my husband and I require certain vaccines our child under the age of 7 would be required to be fully up to date. This was heartbreaking as we felt we couldn’t help this baby, unless risking the health of our youngest child. Please consider that there are very loving families that would participate in NH’s fostering program if it didn’t mandate medical decisions on the foster family itself. Thank you!
