James Burke | Oppose HB1671

More anti-science, anti-vaccine nonsense. Get this crap out of the state. So disgusting. Not only is the policy itself regressive in that it falsely paints the new definition of "religious exemption" as something valid. It isn't. Religious exemptions under a companion bill to this, HB1022, are incredibly lax in their implementation. Simply sign a form. No medical records, no prior history, no real reason. All that's required is a belief that Jesus will protect you from measles. In addition, the public now has to cater to these anti-science folks who are going to spread disease through our communities because they're too selfish or too afraid to get a shot. And if we don't cater to them, they're going to shut down local care facilities by denying them medicaid payments. Ridiculous.
