Thank you for the opportunity to voice my concerns about HB 1811, which seeks to eliminate all school and childcare immunization requirements. I cannot imagine what this bill hopes to accomplish that might be beneficial to Granite State children, families, and thier communities. A parent can already choose not to vaccinate via the so called "religious exemption" rule. If HB 1811 was passed, many more children would be at risk for serious diseases that cause not just illness, severe long term outcomes, hospitalizations, and even death in some cases, but the disruption to families, work, schools and childcare centers, and the health care infastructure is costly. This bill would reverse decades of public health progress and put New Hampshire children at risk of diseases we haven't seen in generations. It also puts millions of dollars in federal funding for child care scholarships at risk. I urge you to please OPPOSE this harmful bill. Thank you.
