I am pro medical freedom because the principles of informed consent, bodily autonomy, and due process are embedded in the constitutional protections of individual liberty. As General John Stark declared, “Live free or die: Death is not the worst of evils.” Government-mandated medical decisions undermine the balance of power between the state and the citizen and erode public trust. A free people must retain the right to make personal medical choices without coercion, penalty, or loss of civil participation.
