This bill is crazy. Even with the proposed credits, taxes will skyrocket. The state has become so dependent upon property taxes that the burden on residents is becoming too much. The State needs other sources of income. I have lived here my entire life and I understand the NH benefit to no sales or income tax. But you need something else. We are surrounded by states that tax marijuana. Why not join them? I’m not in favor of drug use but millions in tax dollars need to be replaced since we did away with the I&D tax. Tax out of state visitors or shoppers. My property taxes in 25 years are up 6x. My home, while up in value, is not nearly that much. This year with my property taxes I will have paid for my home twice. Once to the bank and the other to my town and the state. It’s enough.
