This bill seems incredibly shortsighted in light of the recent outbreaks of measles we are experiencing around the country, due to already lowered vaccine adherence. This bill will only perpetuate that, and possibly other communicable diseases. It also needs to be considered if there is an outbreak - unvaccinated children (and potentially parents), need to quarantine for 21 days (measles). This could have a huge impact on economics - let alone the medical implications. With the current law in place, parents already have the ability to request a medical or religious exemption.
