I strongly urge you to oppose HB 1817. The state’s voucher program is already costing New Hampshire far more than originally projected, pulling millions of dollars away from public schools that educate the vast majority of our students. Expanding this program will only deepen that financial strain, shifting state resources toward private and religious schools with little public oversight or accountability. HB 1817 moves us further from our obligation to fully fund and support public education, and I respectfully ask you to vote against it.
