Everyone understands that programs cost money. If a family removes its student from public school taking a voucher, thus denying the school the funding for those programs it makes no sense that the students should then be permitted to take advantage of those programs for free. Also, the idea that a voucher is one's own tax money returned to them to send their child to the school of their choice is false. My children have long been out of high school, yet I pay my taxes. People with multiple children have received vouchers for each, far exceeding their local property tax payments.
