I am an OB/GYN practicing in NH for 26 years. I strongly urge you to reject HB 1811 because it puts our children and communities at risk. Removing vaccine requirements would open the door to preventable outbreaks, which have consequences beyond “just being sick. For example a disease like measles, can cause catastrophic pregnancy complications. Vaccines have been the reason this disease was essentially eradicated. Removing these requirements would not only increase the risk of preventable disease outbreaks in our schools and communities, but also place an unnecessary burden on our healthcare system. Please to not jeopardize the quality on NH healthcare by removing this safeguard.
