After getting incredibly sick and developing autoimmune diseases as a teenager following the HPV vaccine, I learned that every medicine has risks. My case is not unique. I have two young children and plan to follow a delayed schedule with the help and support of their doctor. Medical decisions should be in between the parents and pediatricians. Mandates eliminate body autonomy and the freedom for one to choose what is best for THEIR body. I am pro medical freedom: pro choice for abortion and pro choice for vaccines. Healthcare should be in between patients and their providers, not up to the state—especially when there are risks involved. There are risks to every pharmaceutical and each person needs to weigh the risks vs benefits for themselves and their families. NH is supposed to be a free state!
