I strongly support this amendment to HB 1560. The legislature already voted to end vehicle inspections. A federal judge had no business overruling the will of New Hampshire voters and their elected representatives. This amendment is the appropriate response - comply with the letter of the court order while protecting Granite Staters from unnecessary burden. Key points: • $1 fine - symbolic compliance, not punishment • Secondary offense only - police can't pull you over just for an expired sticker • No insurance penalties - companies can't jack up your rates or drop you • Terminates Gordon-Darby contract - end the crony arrangement that's been fleecing NH drivers New Hampshire doesn't need the federal government telling us how to run our state. Pass this amendment.
