I'm 65 and I remember when my brother and I brought home a new friend we had made we were young 6-8 My mom said you can't bring him back he's black. My good friends in high school Brian and Lomax came by to pick me up we were going out. My dad said he didn't mind friends at school but I couldn't bring them home my brother would kill them. I was glad we could be friends at school but I felt awful we couldn't go to movies or bowling. My dear friend is trans and we love her. When she was 5 she said to her mom I want to be a girl she was beaten. Non binary I know people who are gender queer, gay why must people who do not know have a say. It's non of the governments business. My neighbors son is adopted he had a full ride to Stanford my kid didn't know he was black until like 2nd grade. He is incredibly gifted and it is disgusting people thought he should not have been given that because of his race. I'm a nurse and I remember when nurses were invaluable to the medical team but got paid crap and got no respect. We worked hard over 40 to be listed as professionals now we are not professional? I almost died 1/2/25 I had nurses, that were African American, gay man, Asian aides a plethora of excellent hard working citizens who were from all over. . White people haven't got it easy God knows my husband and I had hard times. But it is not the poor who make it tough it was people like Trump who don't pay taxes that would be a huge help. White people who aren't wealthy are in the same boat as black Hispanic gay people. Divided. I don't want my grand child sending a friend away because of their color. I don't want some rich influencer worried there is a black doctor or a woman flying the plane you need us. We need to move forward not back to slavery, women being property, different sexual identities in the closet, if you pass this bill you should be ashamed!
