I remember growing up and around 8 my brother and I met a little boy who was funny and we made friends. Of course we brought him home and my mom flipped we were not allowed to bring him back. Why mom? He's black, he was brown. Doesn't matter. Years later I met kids of all colors and even a Jewish kid who was gay. 2 of my best friends were Lomax and Brian they were both "colored" they came to visit and my dad said it's like the Irish and Italians we stay to ourselves. But I have Italian and Polish friends I was 16. He said my brother would kill them if they ever came back. Since my brother had an antisocial personality disorder I was glad I could see my friends at school. I didn't dare bring them home. Do you have any idea how hard it is to be mean to a person you care about to keep them safe? Because they are not white? My dear friend is trans I know non binary people. This country is going backwards women aren't going to be second class citizens we will be property. I'm 65 years old I remember as a new RN how damn lucky doctors were to have good nurses, how lucky we were to have good aides. We were a team yet our pay was crap. We worked our asses to be called professional, to go on to become another level great nurses got better. Now we are not considered professionals? What are we going? We are not blind or stupid. If you pass this bill you should be ashamed.
