I am very grateful that Exeter School District allows my son, a junior in high school, to take up to two classes as a homeschooled student (and unlimited extracurricular activities, which he does not do). He has chosen to take only one class in his main field of interest which is Music: Advanced Choir. I think his teacher and classmates would agree he has been a great asset to the class. He is a leader and has been accepted into Jazz and Classical All State Choir for the last two years. We are not currently charged for this course but if we were, we would not participate anymore. It seems like an unreasonable idea, considering we pay taxes to the local school system already, without utilizing its full services. If New Hampshire wants to remain friendly to the increasing interest in homeschooling, they should support this friendly collaboration between public schools and local homeschooled kids. Everyone wins!
