Many families are using EFA funds to meet the educational needs of their children, and in many cases, these situations lead to a better education. Many families residing in small towns across the state have limited choices in extra-curricular activities for their children. May have multiple children who receive EFA grants, and with the added costs, these children may be excluded from opportunities. If schools are not allowing or charging astronomical fees for these children to participate in their programs, field trips, and sports teams, it is discrimination against those children. Those parents are still paying taxes and supporting the public schools financially. All children within that district should have access to the same educational resources. This bill will help make sure all children are treated equally, and that is essential! Please Support this bill.
