Having equal access as an EFA student has allowed my children educational opportunities that are impossible to provide as a home educated family. Classes such as music, band, and organized school sports would be unattainable if exorbitant costs became associated with each extracurricular. This also has been a way to involve my students directly in their community and to work with their peers. We manage to educate with bare minimum funding for each child and do not create a burden for the school system by attending 1 course per year and participating in sports. The vast majority of our taxes continue to help fund the public education system and being allowed to take a few classes should absolutely be accessible to those that live within the district the help pay to provide.
