One of the most devastating new threats to our state water bodies is cyanobacterias. No matter what size the water body the effects are the same; possible sickness to animals and people, water supply pollution, lack of recreational opportunities, and lower tourism equates damaging lost of revenue to state, towns and business, and lastly loss of property values and with it loss of property taxes for needed town infrastructures and state revenues.
