This bill expands the focus of the legislatively established Exotic Aquatic Weeds and Species Committee to include harmful algal blooms and cyanobacteria. Harmful algal blooms and cyanobacteria are increasing in our lakes and ponds. This allows the committee to include harmful algal blooms and cyanobacteria to their investigations. It is the right committee and the right time.
