It feels like what the people who brought this bill forward want, are robot children without any individuality or empathy for people who may not look, believe, love, talk, etc. like them. What it feels like is that the only “allowed” identity is white, straight, cis, Christian. But that is not our world. It is not our country. It is not our state. It is not our communities. And shutting students down will not create unity. It will create high cases of self-harm, depression and disconnection in our youth and ultimately, in all generations. I oppose this bill. Teach. Truth.
