This bill which serves to expand the focus of the Exotic Aquatic Weeds and Species Committee to include algae blooms and cyanobacteria to be included in their studies. As a lakefront owner I encourage you to support this bill with me. Our lakes, rivers and streams are a vital part of our economy, and the threat of cyanobacteria and algae blooms threatens to shut down our lakes and rivers during peak seasons, impacting not only residents, but also our visitors. They are very concerning health hazard. They can also diminish property values. Please support this bill.
